Welcome Reception & Poster Session 1

5:15 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
The Welcome Reception kicks off the first Poster Session and Exhibit portion of the conference. It’s a great time to make the rounds and meet with both – new and familiar – sponsors for the event. Check-in to see what presentations Sponsors have planned during the week.
During the first hour poster presenters will be at their posters to showcase their work; the second hour is optional where all attendees can network together, read posters and visit with sponsors. Enjoy the evening and welcome to Buenos Aires!
Career Night Roundtable Discussions

Career Night provides an interactive roundtable event for participants to develop rapport and expand their networks to prepare themselves for future employment. This session is ideal for early-career researchers and students.
The session will run in three 20-minute discussion periods.
This roundtable event will feature discussion leaders, covering topics such as:

EMN Reception

Are you a graduate student or within five years of completion of your highest degree? Then you are warmly invited to attend the Early-Career Members Network (EMN) annual reception!
Join us for an evening filled with opportunities to connect with fellow members and discover the exciting activities organized by the EMN. Enjoy light refreshments and take part in the EMN Quiz Night, with prizes up for grabs. The evening will also feature the presentation of the 2026 EMN Travel Bursary Award, celebrating this year's recipients. We look forward to welcoming you!
Tango Social & Celebration
Tuesday, June 23
6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Stick around after Poster Session 3 to hang with colleagues and meet new faces. We’re celebrating the Metabolomics Society’s first conference in South America – fiesta! Enjoy a glass of wine and light canapes, including a local favorite – beef empanadas. The evening will end in time for you to explore dinner options in colorful Buenos Aires.
It takes two to tango – but how about dozens? There will be a short tango dance performance by local professionals, who will offer a group tango lesson for anyone interested. Sure to be a spirited experience!
While the Poster Session ends at 6:30pm, some presenters may still be around their posters if there’s lively discussion, and sponsors may still be in their booths if they choose. Feel free to visit around the Hall until 8pm.
Metabolomics Society Town Hall Meeting
Wednesday, June 24
1:35 p.m. – 2:35 p.m.
The Town Hall Meeting is an informal opportunity to meet the Officers of the Society's Board of Directors. There will be a brief presentation by Rick Dunn (President) on the current standing of the Society and our future plans as well as updates from different Society Committees followed by an informal question and answer session. The Meeting is open to all members of the Society. This is your chance to find out how the Society functions and also influence its future direction, so please come! The Town Hall Meeting will take place on Wednesday afternoon during lunch.
